A GROUP of train commuters who are taking the Government to court over its handling of the Southern crisis are planning a protest.
The Association of British Commuters will be calling for justice for passengers on Thursday at London Victoria Railway Station from 6pm.
The protest is justice themed and participators are invited to bring judge wigs, robber outfits and swag bags.
The group is campaigning to fund a judicial review into the Department for Transport’s handling of the Govia Thameslink Railway franchise – Southern’s parent company.
So far more than £17,000 has been raised towards the cause to pay for legal fees of the action out of a £25,000 target.
Last week lawyers acting on the group’s behalf asked the department to release documents about the franchise. Brighton Pavilion MP Caroline Lucas voiced her support for the campaign.
The DfT said it cannot comment on impending legal action.
