A MOTORCYCLE pillion passenger has been seriously hurt in a crash.
The 31-year-old was flown to hospital with hip and wrist injuries after the crash in the B2028 Selsfield Road, Ardingly, at 3.45pm on Sunday (September 25).
He was a passenger on a Honda CBR100 when its rider swerved to avoid an incoming blue Ford Iveco horsebox and hit a post, police said.
The horsebox was overtaking two cyclists and continued driving, but was later traced to Essex.
The rider of the bike, a 51-year-old man from Ardingly, was bruised, but his pillion, a 31-year-old man also from Ardingly, was flown by air ambulance to St George's Hospital, Tooting, London, where he remains in a stable condition.
Anyone who saw or who has other information about the crash is asked to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting Operation Tintagel.
