CAMPAIGNERS have launched a new bid to save their beloved pub with a petition calling for the venue to be given protected status.
The Save The Dyke Pub petition calling on Brighton and Hove City Council to grant the establishment at the junction of Dyke Road and Highcroft Villas in Brighton asset of community value status went live on Sunday.
The 121-year-old site, which is the local of YouTube power couple Zoe "Zoella" Sugg and Alfie Deyes, was converted into the Emporium furniture shop overnight by owner Martin Webb who said he could no longer keep the loss-making pub going.
