RIZZLE Kicks have apologised to fans for cancelling their upcoming UK tour because member Harley Alexander-Sule is suffering from anxiety.

The Brighton-based pop duo were scheduled to launch their UK tour in November arriving for a hometown gig at The Brighton Centre on December 7.

But in a statement on their website, they told fans their plans were being changed because of Harley’s struggles with generalised anxiety disorder.

The duo said they had lost a few months of promotion because of the condition and were still to record their album.

But the group, who are made up of former Dorothy Stringer pupil Harley and ex-Blatchington Mill student Jordan Stevens, did have some good news for fans promising to drip feed some of their music over the next few months and promising to rebook the tour at a later date.

Jordan has said he will work to raise awareness of the condition and will be creating a music video for the NHS next month at the i360 to coincide with World Mental Health Day.

The duo have been friends since the age of 11 and released their first album Stereo Typical in October 2011.

They reached number one alongside Olly Murs on Heart Skips A Beat in August 2011 and worked with fellow Brightonian Norman Cook on their second album Roaring 20s, released more three years ago.

A full refund for fans is available at point of purchase.
