CUSTOM built trains will replace 30-year old rolling stock on services to Gatwick.
Govia Thameslink has now finished updating the fleet which runs along the fast route from London Victoria to the airport and on to Brighton.
The news Class 387/2 carriages will have more first class seats, power sockets throughout, free wi-fi, and improved disabled access and facilities.
They will also better serve airport passengers, with luggage racks in each compartment and two double doors in each compartment to make it easier for passengers with suitcases to get on and off.
The £145m, 27-train fleet comprises 108 carriages and this marks the end of a rolling process of replacement which began in March of this year,
