PROTESTORS dressed in judges' wigs and robber costumes are complaining about poor Southern rail service at Victoria station.

A crowd of around seventy angry commuters, infuriated by months of poor service from Southern, started a protest at 6pm with a 15ft banner reading SOUTHERN JUSTICE.

They have been joined by Liberal Democrat MP Tom Brake and the party's candidate in Lewes, Kelly-Marie Blundell, and brandished a statement of support from Brighton Pavilion MP Caroline Lucas.

The "justice" themed protest was organised by the Association of British Commuters, which is campaigning to fund a judicial review into the Department for Transport’s handling of the Govia Thameslink Railway franchise – Southern’s parent company.

It wants the contract between the two parties to be made public.

Organiser Emma Yates told The Argus: "It's a great protest, it's very busy, we've got some great fancy dress and we're really hoping this will make people listen."
