A COMPANY from Seaford is behind new National Gallery leggings inspired by their collection of masterpieces.

Wild Bangarang is making the art museum's leggings based on famous paintings from their collection of more than 2,300 works.

Masterpieces given the legging treatment include Vincent van Gogh’s Sunflowers and Still Life of Flowers in a Wan-Li Vase by Ambrosius Bosschaert the Elder, pictured today.

Wild Bangarang was founded in Seaford in 2014 by Adam Jay and now the company holds the license to make clothes for big brands in gaming like World of Warcraft.

Judith Mather, merchandise director of the National Gallery Company, said: “We are delighted with the new licence we have with Wild Bangarang. We have developed leggings with two of the most recognisable paintings in the collection by Vincent van Gogh and also a Dutch floral."

David Pearson, Wild Bangarang director, said: “It’s been exciting to see the interest in the leggings."
