A LAW firm is on the hunt for the best musicians in a charity battle of the bands.

Regional lawyers Coffin Mew is behind When Bands Collide, which will see talent from Brighton and Hove's businesses compete for glory, as well as a range of good causes.

The band that emerges victorious will scoop a sizeable donation to their chosen charity.

Judged by Juice 107.2 DJ, Guy Lloyd, the event will take place at The Haunt in Brighton in February and each band must be formed of employees of the company they represent.

John Parkinson, head of business development at Coffin Mew, said: “Businesses of Brighton and Hove, come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough. When Bands Collide is your chance to live out your rock star dreams on stage in front of friends, colleagues and even boardroom rivals.

“It’s a win-win situation. The bands get to show off their talent and their supporters have a great night out. We’re hoping to raise thousands for a selection of worthy charities. To make it even better, there’s an outright ban on dodgy Mustang Sally covers.”
