A TEENAGE motorcyclist is undergoing major surgery after a crash.
Charlie Page, 17, was taken to hospital with a serious leg injury after the accident at 11.20am in Amberley Drive, Hangleton, yesterday.
Firefighters, paramedics and police were called to the scene to clear the road.
A police spokesman said the rider had hit a parked car.
His father David, of Poynings Drive, claimed eye witnesses said he had to swerve to avoid a car coming out of a junction and ended up going through the window screen of another car.
He said: "He's having a two-and-a-half hour operation where they are looking at inserting a pin into three quarters of his leg. He is absolutely terrified. His mother and I are very worried about him."
