AN ARTS centre is to host a tribute to its namesake, legendary director Richard Attenborough.
The Attenborough Centre for the Creatives Arts (ACCA), at the University of Sussex's Falmer Campus, will screen Oh! What a Lovely Way as part of Brighton film festival Cinecity.
The screening will be co-presented by the West Pier Trust as part of their season of events marking the 150th Anniversary of the opening of the West Pier.
Made on location in Brighton in 1968 and using the West Pier for many scenes, Attenborough's masterpiece is a musical that offers a challenging and provocative representation of the First World War.
Creative director Laura McDermott, said, “We are able to look back at one of Richard Attenborough’s best known works – a critical look at World War One – filmed on location in Brighton, with a local landmark in a starring role.
The film will be shown on Wednesday November 23 at 7.30pm.
