Sussex Police were called to the site
A MAN died after being trapped in a machine at a compost site.
The accident at the Runcton Compost Site in Chichester Food Park, Bognor Road, Chichester, is now being investigated by the Health and Safety Executive.
Sussex Police sand South East Coast Ambulance Service paramedics were called to the site shortly before 4pm on Saturday following reports of an industrial accident involving a soil grading machine.
However the man, believed to be a 26-year-old from Hampshire, was pronounced dead shortly afterwards.
The death is being treated as unexplained at this time and the site has been sealed off by police who are also investigating the incident.
The man's next of kin have been informed.
