The largest hospital trust in Sussex has appointed a new head.
Duncan Selbie (crct) will take up his post at chief executive of Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust on July 9.
Mr Selbie will be working on secondment from the Department of Health where he has spent the last four years as director general responsible for leading the delivery of national priorities and financial balance in the NHS in England.
The trust's outgoing chief executive Peter Coles is leaving to take up a secondment at the Department of Health.
Trust chairman Glynn Jones said: "We are delighted to welcome Mr Selbie as our new chief executive at such an important time for the trust.
"I am looking forward to working alongside him and with other organisations, to improve the treatment and care we provide for our patients."
