A DRIVER was cut from his car six hours after he crashed into a tree.
The man was taken to hospital after being released from the vehicle at 7.59 yesterday morning.
He told emergency service personnel that he had been waiting six hours to be rescued.
He had driven into a tree off London Road, in Lye Green near Crowborough at some point the previous night and apparently nobody had noticed the car until the dawn.
Fire crews cut the roof off the vehicle in order to release the man, who was transported to hospital by ambulance.
