A SUPERMARKET has donated £500 to a charity that provides disability football sessions after customers voted to support its work.
The Asda store in Hollingbury regularly asks shoppers to vote for the charity they want to receive a donation by giving them a token at the tills which can then be placed in one of three plastic containers on the way out.
Customers have three charities to choose from and at the end of the vote the good cause with the most tokens is given £500.
The latest recipient is Albion in the Community (AITC), the official charity of Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club, and Asda’s Maria Carpenter recently visited the Seagulls’ American Express Community Stadium to present a cheque.
