An elderly woman hit by a taxi in a busy road has died.
The woman was struck by the cab in North Street, Brighton, at 2.15pm on Tuesday January 10.
The 87-year-old was treated with a head injury by paramedics at the scene, but unfortunately passed away two days later.
Sergeant Clare Kenward from the roads policing unit said: "Our thoughts are with the family of the woman at this very tragic time.
"Enquiries are on-going to determine the circumstances of the incident and we ask anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed what happened to get in touch."
