A TEENAGER has been left with facial scarring after being the victim of an unprovoked attacked.

The 17-year-old was walking along Staplefield Drive, Brighton, shortly before midnight on Friday (January 13) when he was attacked by two men.

The attackers were wearing tracksuits, one in all grey and one in all black.

The victim was left needing stitches for his injuries.

Police later arrested two men, aged 19 and 22, from the Brighton area, close to the scene along with an 18-year-old woman.

All three have been bailed until March.

Detective Sergeant Cheryl Lewendon, of Sussex Police, said: "This is a serious incident which has left a young man with significant scarring to his face.

"Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or may have information that would assist the investigation. "
