A FLAT went up in flames after a TV caught fire.
Firefighters were called to the property in North Street, Brighton, and found the blaze on the third floor.
Crews from Preston Circus fire station attended and extinguished the fire at around 5.15am on Friday.
No-one was hurt. An investigation found there had been an electrical fault with the television.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service advised residents to avoid electrical fires by making sure plugs do not get too hot and sockets are not overloaded. Cables and leads should be checked to make sure they are not too frayed.
