A MOTHER has been found guilty of plying a teenage girl with drink and drugs before forcing her to have sex with men.

A jury found Karen Potter, 35, of Harrison Road, Worthing, responsible for arranging the prostitution of two girls on three occasions – twice with Neil Oxlade and once with Daniel McCaw.

She was found not guilty of a fourth charge of sending one of the victims, aged 13, out to have sex with a third anonymous man for money.

She was also convicted unanimously of engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child with Oxlade, 37, of Tanllwyfan, Colwyn Bay, Wales, and McCaw, 43, of Blacksmiths Crescent, Sompting.

The men were also found guilty of sexual activity with a child and Oxlade of paying for the sexual services of a child.

Out of 16 counts on the indictment, jurors only found the defendants not guilty of seven.

All three were cleared of rape charges and Oxlade of three counts of possessing extreme pornographic images of children and animals.

The trial was told how one of the victims said she felt she had been “treated like a slave” by Potter in Hove and Worthing.

They will be sentenced this morning at Brighton Crown Court by Judge David Rennie.
