A HEALTH trust has launched a recruitment campaign to find more than 120 new members of staff.

Sussex Community NHS Trust needs people to take up a mixture of full and part-time healthcare assistant posts across Brighton and Hove and the High Weald, Lewes and Havens area of East Sussex.

This includes inpatient units in hospitals in Lewes, Crowborough and Uckfield and community-based teams.

There are also positions available across Sussex working in children’s services and specialist services.

Healthcare assistant roles are entry-level positions for the health and care sector.

There are no set entry requirements to become a healthcare assistant, however applicants must have good literacy and numeracy skills and a caring personality.

Trust deputy director for human resources Caroline Haynes said: “If you are caring, compassionate and looking for a career where you will be supported to reach your potential, then we want to hear from you.

“We have 120 roles to fill and we’re making it as easy as possible for people to apply for these jobs.

“If you have what it takes, then we commit to support you, provide you with the skills and training you need and the opportunity to create a rewarding career in healthcare.”

Those interested in the roles can apply online or attend one of five interview days where they can meet managers, fill in applications and have an interview on the same day.

Interviews are being held at a range of venues, including the Kleinwort Centre in Butlers Green Road, Haywards Heath on February 15, Crowborough War Memorial Hospital on February 16, Bognor War Memorial Hospital and Crawley Hospital on February 22 and Brighton General Hospital on February 23.

All events run from 10am to 3pm and people are being urged to sign up as soon as possible.
