FOOTAGE of suspected burglar breaking into a house was caught on a doorbell camera.

The video captured by the equipment shows a man in his late teens or early 20s opening the porch of a house in Valley Drive, Seaford, just before 11pm on Sunday.

A minute later, the internet router inside the porch was unplugged, but not before the video captured and stored images of him.

The owner of the house found the door open the following morning and discovered his £233 white Apple AirPort Time Capsule 2Tb router was missing. Nothing else was taken and the main house had not been broken into.

The Argus:

Anyone who recognises the man pictured - who has blond or light-coloured hair with a stud earring - should call police on 101. He was wearing a Parka-style coat, with a light tracksuit top underneath and he was carrying a rucksack.

Witnesses or anyone who knows anything about the stolen router can also email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting 46 of 13/02.
