EXTRA protection for people who suffer a cardiac arrest is now available.
A defibrillator has been installed outside Winterbourne Stores in Winterbourne Lane, Lewes.
It was donated in memory of Alice Brinkhurst, 29, who died of a heart condition last March.
Alice was a regular visitor to the shop and would buy her magazines there every week.
The Sussex Heart Charity provided the machine from Alice’s memorial fund
The defibrillator is an emergency life-saving device which can be used by anyone to help restart the heart when sudden cardiac arrest strikes.
The device is fully portable and gives the heart an electrical charge to establish a regular heartbeat.
It is completely safe and people do not need training to use it.
