A MAN jumped off a pier before clambering up its structure and screaming for help.
Emergency services came to the aid of a 27-year-old man who jumped off Eastbourne Pier at 7.20pm yesterday into freezing seas.
Eastbourne RNLI’s inshore lifeboat launched after passers-by noticed the man was showing signs of cold water shock and heard his screams for help.
The casualty was pulled aboard the lifeboat and transferred to the beach where he was passed into the care of paramedics who took him to hospital.
