A MAN has died after falling from scaffolding.
Paramedics were called to Grand Parade, Eastbourne, at 8am on Wednesday to reports of a man in his sixties who fell from a height of 40-foot.
Police officers closed the road while the incident was dealt with and bus routes were diverted.
A South East Coast Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Five response vehicles were dispatched, as well as air ambulance with a doctor on board.
“Despite best efforts to save the man, he was sadly declared deceased at the scene.”
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and the East Sussex coroner has been informed.
“The man did not live at the address and was not working on the site.”
