WE are still in the grip of winter but you wouldn’t know it looking at this stunning photograph.

Reader Stephen Robinson took the breathtaking image of a paddleboarder making his way along the River Adur at sunset.

In the background you can just about see Shoreham as the sun sets in the distance.

Paddleboarding has become increasingly popular in Sussex in the past few years, with clubs in Brighton, Worthing and Eastbourne.

Boarders can often be seen making their way up the River Adur from Shoreham in the evening.

It is thought paddleboarding originated in the Pacific Islands in the 16th century.
