A MAN has been jailed for sexually assaulting a teenage boy.
Barry Millard, 68, of Keymer Road, Crawley, was found guilty of assaults on a boy aged between 13 and 15 in the town between 1977 and 1979.
The attacks took place at the then Crawley Boys’ Club in London Road and at an address in Lavington Close, Ifield.
He was sentenced at Lewes Crown Court to three years, with a second jail term of 12 months to run concurrently
Sussex Police have said the club closed many years ago and the attacks had no connection to the current club or anyone working there.
Investigator Lucy Hailes said: "The victim has finally received the justice he deserves after a complex two-year process of investigation and prosecution.
"We admire his courage in coming forward after all these years.
