FOUR men were arrested after a gang raided a flat with a gun.

At about 4.25pm on Saturday two men, aged 29 and 23, were attacked in the flat in London Road, Bexhill, by several men who entered, one of whom was holding what appeared to be firearm of some kind.

The two men were tied up and the flat was searched but nothing is known to have been taken.

No shots were fired and neither of the victims required hospital treatment

The attackers left after a few minutes and were seen to get into a car which left the scene. It was found nearby a short time later nearby.

Four men, aged 29, 28, 23, and 20, all from Bexhill, were arrested shortly afterwards without incident, on suspicion of aggravated burglary. They are currently in custody for interview and further enquiries.

No firearm had been found yesterday.

Detective Sergeant Lee Floyd said; "The motive for this incident is not currently clear and we are still in the process of establishing exactly what has happened. However we can say that only one specific address is involved and there was no wider threat to local people.
