Albion have been warned their season could rapidly disintegrate if they drop more points tonight.

Rotherham boss Paul Warne wants to make it a hat-trick of defeats in eight days for the Seagulls.

His squad has been depleted by injury with main striker Danny Ward likely to be added to the list of absentees after taking a whack to the head in Saturday’s home defeat by Aston Villa.

But their combative skipper Lee Frecklington is back in midfield and the hosts will give it a go.

Warne said: “Chris (Hughton) will get them fired right up knowing it will be tough here.

“They need to get back to winning ways, if not their season will disintegrate pretty rapidly.

“It’s a crucial time for a lot of teams, ourselves included.

“I don’t want to let Chris think my team will just roll over. That’s not what our team will do. We fight and scrap for everything we can get.”

Warne said he will not double-up on Albion wideman Anthony Knockaert, who is being seen as the main threat in South Yorkshire.

The French star returns to the scene of his Seagulls debut tonight.

Warne said: “When Knockaert really wants to play, he can pull teams apart.

“I can’t afford to double up on him. I have to let the players play and give them confidence to play against him.

“Whoever I have playing against him will know the situation. Sometimes in football, people go past people.

“As long as the cross is defended or the shot is saved, I haven’t got an issue. I can’t legislate for two players to stop one.

“If we have the ball more than them and we are going the other way, he won’t be such a problem.”
