DAVID STOCKDALE 6

How do you judge him? He had nothing to do. Saw Vydra’s header flick away off the outside of the angle but was not actually called into action.

BRUNO 7

In opposition to Vydra in the first half and came though that smoothly while adding invention in attack. Limped off in the second half, the only Albion concern of the evening.

UWE HUENEMEIER 7

Very accomplished on his first home game in 15 months and against a side with two proven goal threats. Stretched well to cut out a dangerous low cross on half-time.

LEWIS DUNK 8

In control at the back against a Derby front two and took over captaincy duties when Bruno departed. One particularly important sliding interception early in the second half.

LIAM ROSENIOR 8

Looks the part at left-back. Up against Ince out wide and did a good job. Produced some storming stuff charging forward in the first hour or so.

ANTHONY KNOCKAERT 9

Easily away from lightweight De Sart before thumping home the early goal Albion wanted. Remained a threat right up until his final contribution, the cutback which Murray dispatched for 3-0.

BERAM KAYAL 8

It has been far too long since the Amex last saw him in this form. Dynamic, busy, incisive, combative and forward looking. A real force in the engine room as we enter the run-in.

DALE STEPHENS 7

Produced a superb little back-heel pass to start a first-half attack but this was all about being the steady main man in a midfield given lightweight opposition by Derby’s formation.

JIRI SKALAK 8

Played in some superb crosses, the best of which should have been headed in rather than over by Murray. Was at the origin of the third goal with terrific endeavour to nick the ball off Hughes.

SAM BALDOCK 7

Back on the scoresheet after some intricate Albion work through the middle. Did some really good work but probably just needed to be a bit more clinical at times in finishing or teeing up others.

GLENN MURRAY 8

A handful for the Derby back line and, after heading a good first-half chance over, got his reward with a classic six-yard finish, albeit with just a touch of fortune on the ricochet.

SUBS

Fikayo Tomori: Did a good job as right-back stand-in for Bruno and showed he can be a good target at the far post. 7

Tomer Hemed: On for closing stages.

Solly March: No chance or need to shine this time.
