Sam Baldock has urged Albion to keep their cool and embrace a red hot atmosphere at Elland Road.

The 11-goal forward believes the front four can secure three more points if the Seagulls remain solid against fired-up Leeds.

Albion go last among the top three this weekend when they play a Leeds side looking to cement their play-off place on Saturday (5.30pm).

A crowd in excess of 30,000 could roar on Garry Monk’s men but Baldock said: “The atmosphere will inspire us.

“It will be slightly different to our last away game at Rotherham. They didn’t have a lot of fans or a lot to cheer about and our supporters really took over the venue.

“This will be different but all of us have played at Elland Road before. It’s a great place to play football. It’s even nicer to walk away with three points.”

Baldock knows Albion will have little to no time on the ball.

He said: “I watched Leeds play Derby and they pressed them really well and didn’t give them a sniff.

“Leeds ended up winning the game 1-0 and they thoroughly deserved it. There were very impressive that night.

“They are definitely one of the best teams in the division.”

Baldock will hope for a repeat of the fleet-of-foot Albion performance which saw off a Derby side committed to attack at the Amex last Friday.

He said: “We broke quite quickly.

“A lot of times Dale (Stephens) and Beram (Kayal) won their battle in midfield and released the front four.

“That’s what we always say. We defend as a team and the front four can go and win it for us.”

Huddersfield are the first of the top three to play this weekend as they visit Bristol City tomorrow.

Newcastle take on Birmingham City at St Andrew’s on Saturday afternoon.
