Boss Chris Hughton has told his Albion players they will have to cope with an "unbelievable" atmosphere against Leeds at Elland Road tomorrow night.

Leeds are 11 points adrift of Albion in fourth, with no realistic chance of catching them in the race for automatic promotion.

That, together with live coverage on Sky, has not stopped more than 28,000 Leeds supporters snapping up tickets as Garry Monk's side try to secure a play-off spot in their last nine fixtures.

Albion's travelling army will swell the attendance beyond the 30,000 mark at Elland Road for the fourth time this season.

Hughton said: "It's always a difficult place and they create an unbelievable atmosphere there. That's something we have to be aware of, that we have to cope with, but it's an away game and generally away games are tougher.

"We've certainly been better on the road this season than we were last season and we will need to be, because it's a very tough game.

"We're up against a very good side who've had a very good season, a way of playing that is very good on the eye and they've got some very good individuals. They are the things we have to guard against."

Hughton is not surprised Garry Monk has turned the fortunes of Leeds around since losing his job at Swansea.

"Garry is an experienced manager for his age," Hughton said. "He did a wonderful job at Swansea, so I knew they were bringing in somebody with great quality.

"They recruited well, which is a big plus for anybody coming into a new job, and he is certainly getting the best out of the team. I expected him to do well there."
