MORE crime scenes have been taped up across the city as a council crackdown on rubbish continues.

Brighton and Hove City Council staff have been identifying more cases of flytipping on the city’s streets.

This chain gang came across this dumped mattress, furniture and suitcases in Rock Grove.

Council officers said the items have been linked to an address and a fine is set to be issued to the perpetrator.

More dumped items were found in Pool Passage and Howard Place, a soiled mattress in Hove Street, soggy cardboard boxes in Preston Park, a Christmas tree at a clothes recycling point while discarded cardboard boxes and wood were dumped at the recycling point at Hollingbury Golf Course.

Brighton and Hove is the latest local authority to sign up to Keep Britain Tidy’s ‘Crime Not To Care’ campaign launched to tackle the nationwide problem of flytipping.

The crime scene tape and Crime Not To Care posters are designed to raise awareness across the city.
