Solly March has been told the world is his oyster – as he hopes for England under-21 action.

Albion top scorer Glenn Murray has revealed how he is excited by the skills of his colleague in training sessions.

He reckons fans have only seen the tip of the iceberg in terms of what the Hailsham boy can produce on the wing.

March is back with the international set-up after being ruled out for almost a year through injury. They have friendlies against Germany in Wiesbaden tomorrow (7pm) and Denmark in Randers on Monday (6pm).

Murray told The Argus: “Solly was one that I was excited to play with when I first signed for the club. I’ve trained with him for quite a while now and he is a fantastic player.

“I just hope he keeps progressing and shows you guys more and more of what we see in training day in and day out. If he keeps improving, the world’s his oyster.

“He can go past people with ease, he’s jinky, he has got great delivery and he has got a great shot. He has got everything that a really good winger needs.”

Despite limited Championship outings since returning to full fitness, March was recalled by under-21s boss Adie Boothroyd as he plans for the Euro finals in Poland this summer.

Murray said: “That is a great confidence booster.

“It’s nice for him to be back involved after his injury.

“I think it shows how far he has come and how strong and resilient he has become after his injury.”
