An adorable 13-week old puppy has been stolen in a burglary which also saw thieves take a family's car.
Golden Retriever puppy Barney was taken along with a blue Vauxhall Meriva from a property in Lake Lane, Barnham.
The home was burgled during the early hours of Thursday morning.
The car was later found set alight in Market Close, Barnham.
The intruders also took two laptop computers, £400 cash and a handbag.
Detective Constable Emma Fields, of the West Sussex community investigation team, said: "The owners are absolutely devastated by his loss and are desperate to find him."
Anyone who knows of Barney's whereabouts or who may information about the burglary, suspicious people or vehicles in Lake Lane over recent days is asked to contact Sussex Police.
