CHOIRS raised more than £1,000 for a good cause with a special Mother’s Day concert.
All-female Singing Mamas choirs were at Firle Church to raise cash for the Girls Not Brides charity.
The concert brought together 50 singers from all five choirs, which are based in Lewes, Brighton, Hove, Forest Row and East Grinstead.
Hove mum, Caroline Abbott, said: “I’d been told how uplifting the Singing Mamas choirs are so it was awesome to hear them sing – they raised the roof.”
Founder Kate Valentine said: “Singing is so important for well-being and our choirs are all about bringing women together. it was amazing having all five choirs singing in celebration of motherhood.”
The money will go to the charity which is committed to ending child marriage. To join the choirs visit singingmamaschoir.com
