A NURSE is offering a reward after his vintage motorbike was stolen.

Alistair Currie parked the burgundy BMW R80 in Sudeley Terrace, Brighton, after coming home from work on Monday at 4pm.

When he left his home in nearby Sudeley Street at 6.30am the next morning to drive to work at Worthing Hospital, his motorbike - worth £3,000 and £6,000 - had vanished. The 35-year-old is offering a £300 reward for anyone who has information for the vehicle’s safe return.

He said: “I use the bike to get to work, it’s making it quite hard because I work shifts and at night it is hard to get public transport so I’m now going to have to find a car to use. Sometimes when you hear of motorbikes being stolen they are hidden nearby for a while until being moved or stripped for parts. I’m hoping someone has seen it.”

Police urged anyone with information about the theft to come forward. Mr Currie would also like to hear from anyone who may know where the bike is.
