Ian Holloway admitted a finish by his former striker made him feel sick as Glenn Murray moved to 21 goals last night.

Murray sent the QPR side managed by his old Crystal Palace boss to defeat by creating and converting a one-on-one. He also won the free-kick from which Sebastien Pocognoli curled the winner at Loftus Road.

Holloway said: “You don’t let Glenn Murray run that far towards your goal.

“You run back with him. With the greatest respect he isn’t the quickest but he is determined.

“It wasn’t offside. We took a risk. When he was through, I’ve seen it over and over again and it almost made me sick – but great finish!”

Holloway agreed Murray was fouled by Joel Lynch to win the free kick for the second goal.

He added: “The free-kick is a knife in the heart. The kid hasn’t even been playing and he tells Anthony Knockaert to step aside.”
