Albion could celebrate promotion on Easter Monday.

The Seagulls won 2-0 at Wolves today with an Anthony Knockaert double.

The result came hot on the heels of a controversial 3-2 success for third-placed Huddersfield over Preston, secured by a late penalty.

Albion host Wigan at 3pm on Monday and a win would take them 15 points clear of the Terriers, who would still have five games to play.

That alone would not make promotion official.

However the gulf in goal difference means three points on Monday would spark unprecedented celebrations with promotion virtually assured.

Huddersfield play Derby at 5pm on the same day and any dropped points would make that Premier League spot for Albion absolutely official.

Knockaert scored late in both halves on counter attacks to reward a thoroughly professional Seagulls display in the rain today.
