Brighton and Hove residents are showing their colours as blue and white decorations spring up across the city.

Fans have been showing their true blue and white support for the Seagulls after Brighton and Hove Albion FC secured promotion to the Premier League. 

Dorothy Purvis' house in Ryde Road is a tribute to her beloved team of 50 years. 

She said neighter of her two husbands shared her love for the Albion,she said: ” I’ve had two husbands. Neither of them was remotely interested.”

“Five years ago, I lost my husband, so I thought, ‘Right, get the paint pot out!’ 

“I had a few coppers, so I had it painted blue." 

Meanwhile two houses in Viaduct Road sprung blue and white stripes overnight.
