Dodie Finamore is an actress performing in The Writers’ Bloc at Brighton Fringe. She also works for the Fringe in the participant services team when she is not performing.

What is your favourite place in Sussex?

I think it would have to be the tearooms in Stanmer village.

I have many fond memories ambling over the hills for an escape from the panic of university.

What do you love most about living in Sussex?

Brighton is where I spend most of my time.

I love how the community rejects chains and really champions small, independent places and businesses.

What advice do you have for your 12-year-old self?

My advice would have to be don’t worry, you’ll grow into your nose.

What is your most valued possession?

Stacks and albums of photos stored throughout my house would be my most prized possessions.

What is your biggest regret?

Not learning how to ride a bike sooner than I did.

What is your biggest fear?

Feeling grey again.

What is your proudest achievement?

I am really proud of myself for devising and performing at the Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts on the Falmer Campus at the University of Sussex.

I got to do this alongside some of the

most wonderful people when I took part in 2016.

Which five people (living or dead)

would you invite to your fantasy dinner party?

Laura Bates, the founder of the Everyday Sexism Project

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, writer

Bridget Christie, comedian

Adele Adkins, singer

Each of my best pals, popping in one at a time (I know that doesn’t count but hey)

This would just be a great mixture of women to have a dinner party with.

We would hopefully have lots of wine and inspiring, empowering conversations as well as a good old cackle together around the table.
