BUS passengers will be even better connected after a firm fitted its entire fleet with free wi-fi.

Brighton and Hove Buses said travelling by bus had become even more productive after it kitted out every single one of its 265 buses with the service.

The firm said the investment would allow passengers to get connected on every journey, check their emails or social media and surf the web any time and anywhere during their journey.

Martin Harris, Brighton and Hove Buses managing director, said: “This initiative is very significant for us as it’s one of the key ways we can encourage people to get out of their cars and on to buses as it allows passengers to use their time productively while travelling.

“We’re all so time-poor these days that we can do without losing more of it to commuting. What’s more, travelling by bus means we’re not clogging up the streets and the air with cars and their emissions.

“We’ve got to start thinking differently as a society about cars. Travelling by bus will always be a greener way to travel. And congestion is one of the biggest challenges facing our towns and cities. I’m delighted this investment will make it more attractive and viable to travel by bus.”
