RESIDENTS are being asked how they would like to see parking monitored in their neighbourhood.

Brighton and Hove City Council is holding a consultation asking Hove residents how parking spaces and yellow lines should be arranged in the area bounded by Worcester Villas, Kingsway, Woodhouse Road and the railway line.

It follows an initial consultation during the winter in which residents voted strongly in favour of a light touch scheme with restrictions in force for two periods each day.

The council is proposing restrictions for non-residents would operate between 11 and noon and 6 to 7pm.

Residents had favoured a weekday scheme but following an agreement by councillors at environment committee, it is now proposed to operate all week.

Consultation documents are being posted to more than 2,500 home from April 20 to be returned to the council by May 26 either by post or online.
