VINYL fans are in the groove when it comes to buying records.
Hundreds of them queued outside Resident in Kensington Gardens, Brighton, on Saturday to celebrate the tenth annual World Record Store Day.
The event is celebrated at 3,000 independent shops including Resident, Cult Hero and Rarekind in Brighton.
Resident founder Natasha Youngs said: “It was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations.
“For independent record shops it is a crucial fixture in the calendar. It’s like Christmas.”
Best sellers of the day were classic albums by the likes of David Bowie, The Smiths and Pink Floyd.
