ALBION supporters will be given a full 90 minutes to cheer on their footballing heroes on Sunday’s parade.

Details of Brighton and Hove Albion's open-top bus promotion parade along the city’s seafront on Sunday have been announced.

The parade will begin at the Palace Pier end of Madeira Drive at 5pm from where the bus convoy carrying the club's players, staff and directors along with Brighton and Hove City Councillors will head west.

The parade is expected to reach Hove Lawns by around 6.30pm.

As the parade makes its way along Brighton seafront, for the best view fans are advised to watch live coverage via two large TV screens at a specially created area called Zone A on Hove Lawns.

Albion's players and coaching staff will then be presented to the crowd from a specially erected stage.

Fans choosing to join the parade from the Palace Pier will be directed into two areas, zones B and C, of Hove Lawns as they arrive which will be further away from the stage.

Rolling road closures will be in place from 2pm, including the seafront Kingsway Road from Fourth Avenue to West Street. Grand Avenue will also be restricted to residents' access only.

The club is advising fans choosing to remain at Hove Lawns, and watch the parade on the screens ahead of the players' arrival to arrive early, to be in position for 4pm, bring their own refreshments for the full duration and ensure they have adequate clothing and sun protection for changes in weather.

Fans entering Zone A will be restricted to four alcoholic drinks per adult, and no glass bottles or chairs will be permitted.

Hand held pyro and/or flares are not permitted anywhere on site or on the route, and any individuals found to be in possession will face arrest and further bans by the club.

Bag searches will take place on entry to Zone A with fans advised to speed up your entry please consider not carrying a bag.

Those wishing to sit throughout the event, are advised to bring their own chairs and to use Zones B or C, which will have their own additional big screens.

There will also be a disabled viewing area in Zone A.

Council leader Warren Morgan said: “I’m looking forward to the parade on Sunday.

"The disappointment of Sunday’s last-minute loss of the Championship trophy, which I shared with 7,000 others at the Amex and tens of thousands more at Villa Park and around the county, will pass.

"Sunday’s reception and parade are all about celebrating the magnificent season as a whole; the 5-0 drubbing of Norwich, the team holding Knockeart’s shirt aloft after Sidwell’s amazing 45 yard goal, the scenes after the Wigan game.

"On Sunday we will come together and applaud the team , Chris Hughton, Tony Bloom and ourselves as the fans for getting the team from where it was 20 years ago to the Premier League.”

Fans are strongly advised to use public transport, wherever possible, and should try to avoid arriving last minute.

Southern Rail passenger services director Angie Doll said: "We're thrilled for the Seagulls and their fabulous promotion.

"This Sunday, although we'll be doubling the number of coaches on all our coastal services, those who do take the train will inevitably experience long waits at the station with queuing systems in place after the parade. Fans should consider staggering their journeys if taking the train."
