Albion have launched a revamp of the under-23s squad by retaining five players and releasing another five.

Goalkeeper Billy Collings, defenders Ben Barclay and George Cox, and midfielders Will Collar and Dessie Hutchison are staying for another year.

Tom Cadman, Dylan Barnett, Connor Tighe, Vahid Hambo and Joe Ward have all been released.

Barclay, under-18s graduate Cox, Collar and Hutchison have each been awarded one-year extensions to their existing deals.

Collings, drafted in from Reading at the beginning of the year on a short-term deal, will sign a new one-year contract.

Academy manager John Morling said: "We are delighted to have extended Ben, Will and Dessie's contracts by another year. They have all managed to establish themselves in Simon Rusk's squad over the past three seasons.

"George stepped up from the under-18s this season and acquitted himself very well. Billy arrived here at January and we are looking forward to seeing him develop here.

"As always, there are players that will be leaving us and I would like to thank Tom, Dylan, Connor, Vahid and Joe for all of their hard work. On behalf of everyone at the club, I wish them all the very best for the future."
