WITNESSES who saw a cyclist hit over the head with a glass bottle in the street are being urged to come forward.
Police believe several people have vital information about the incident but have not yet spoken to officers.
A 29-year-old man was cycling along Brunswick Terrace in Hove at 4.35pm on April 20. Two men sitting in a silver Vauxhall Insignia shouted at him and he went over to them.
They rowed but as the cyclist walked away the men got out of the car and one hit him over the head before driving off. The victim was left with a cut on his head and was treated at the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Two men, aged 22 and 18 from London, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and have been released under investigation. Witnesses should call 101.
