RESIDENTS and team members at a care home are celebrating its 20th anniversary.

Staff at Maycroft Manor in Carden Avenue, Brighton welcomed their directors and buried a time capsule as part of care provider Hallmark Care Homes’ celebrations.

To mark their business milestone, Hallmark Care Homes’ directors Avnish Goyal and Ram Goyal pledged to visit all 15 of their businesses across England and South Wales in just four days.

The purpose of their visit to Maycroft Manor - which marked day three of the directors’ road trip - was to recognise the company’s long-serving employees for their contributions as well as take part in the care homes individual celebrations.

During their visit the directors, residents and team buried a time capsule containing various mementos and enjoyed a delicious breakfast buffet.

General manager Elizabeth Day said: “We are so happy that Avnish and Ram came to the home as part of their journey to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Hallmark Care Homes.

“We have had a great morning celebrating with them and their wives, and the residents and team were all really excited to mark this special occasion.

“Everyone who attended our celebrations had a really good time and we are all looking forward to celebrating our next milestone.”

Maycroft Manor care home is part of Hallmark Care Homes, the award-winning care provider established in 1997 with 15 care homes across England and Wales.

Maycroft Manor provides residential, dementia and nursing care.

A spokesman said: “Our residents are supported to live an active and fulfilled life.

“Our relationship-centred care enables residents to keep on doing the things they’ve always loved – the things they perhaps thought they could no longer enjoy.

“So as part of our community, they’ll be able to cook, help out in the garden and carry on with the kind of everyday routines which make their lives theirs.

“Our dementia community features its own hair salon, café and laundry room – designed to encourage residents to continue with vital everyday routines.

“Memory-prompting design features are arranged throughout while bespoke bedroom furniture has been designed especially for residents living with dementia.
