POLICE are trying to identify a woman who offered false information to try to take out a contract on a laptop worth £2,000.

On Thursday staff at iStore in County Mall, Crawley, contacted police after realising her details were fraudlent.

When staff started to carry out the necessary background checks they realised the details given by the woman were false and identified that she had attempted to make similar transactions on other branches of the store.

The woman left the shop and made off from staff before her true identity could be ascertained.

The suspect is described as white, aged approximately 40, of medium build, with brown curly hair. She wore a light coloured top.
