ESTATE agents Mishon Mackay had a taste of premier league glory when they took to the hallowed turf of the Amex.

They may have lacked the finishing skills of star striker Glen Murray but the Mishon Mackay team beat local rivals Sawyers 3-2 in a friendly football match at the AMEX.

Playing under the floodlights on the pitch that sent Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club to the Premier League, both teams gave the game their all in what was a close match.

Mishon Mackay were in Brighton’s home kit, while Sawyers were sporting red shirts during the defeat.

Steve Neocleous, Hove branch director at Mishon Mackay, said: “It’s an incredible opportunity to be able to play on such an iconic pitch and it makes it even more fun when you’re playing a local rival.

“The atmosphere is somewhat different without the 30,000-strong home crowd but Sawyers are a great team to play and to beat them after our defeat last year only fuels the competition next year.”
