Sussex was battered by storms last night with hundreds of lightning strikes across the county.
Photographer Max Langran took this stunning shot of lightning bolts over the West Pier.
The storm arrived at around midnight and rumbled on for much of the night.
There was also heavy rain which continued until the morning.
