Albion Women have released three players as they prepare for the WSL2 season.

Amy Taylor, Charlotte Young and Lisa Fulgence will not have their contracts renewed.

Taylor was a key member of the team which won the Premier League while fellow striker Fulgence was a proven goal-getter before being troubled by injury.

Both joined the club three years ago from Gillingham while Young was previously with Reading.

Albion’s women’s and girls’ general manager Kirsty Hulland said: “At the end of the season, there are always difficult decisions to be made.

“Amy, Charlotte and Lisa have all been brilliant players for the club during the last couple of seasons and all played a key role in helping the club to achieve Women’s Super League status.

“But following discussions with the first-team coaching staff, it was decided that it would be best for these three players to pursue their careers elsewhere.

“On behalf of everyone at Brighton and Hove Albion, I would like to thank Amy, Charlotte and Lisa for their tremendous service to the club and wish them all the very best for the future.”
